Our ultimate goal of tree planting and nature restoration is to see growth of trees that generate ecosystem goods and services that enhance ecosystem functionality and hence fulfilling the needs of the landscape dwellers both animals, humans and plants. We aim to plant over 6,000,000 trees in the next 10 years.

Meet Our Expert Volunteer
Charles Chonde, the founder of MWITO Self Help Group, who has a background in environmental science and years of experience working with rural communities, saw the urgent need to restore the environment while empowering locals to improve their livelihoods. His firsthand understanding of the struggles faced by the people and the land inspired him to establish MWITO, a grassroots initiative focused on reforestation, community-driven development, and sustainable resource management.
